Warriors Return to Action With Rout

Ottumwa, IA -- Showing no ill effects from a 13-day layoff, the Indian Hills basketball team won its first game after the Christmas break, 100-62, over visiting Olive-Harvey in the Courtside Bar & Grill Classic on Tuesday night.

Dwan McMillan helped get IHCC off to a quick start, scoring 10 of his 12 points in the early-going as the Warriors (13-4) grabbed an 18-10 lead. The Panthers (3-9) cut the deficit to six at 23-17 before the Warriors scored 14 unanswered points. The lead was 22 at the half and Indian Hills continued to add tothe advantage in the final half.

IHCC's Brandon Garrett led the scoring with 21 points and had five dunks on the night. Two post players both had season-high point totals for the Warriors -- Bruno Ferreira with 14 and Chano Rashiduddin with 10. Rashiduddin also had nine rebounds.

Kiare Fowler led Olive-Harvey with 11 points.

Indian Hills will try to avenge an earlier double-overtime loss to Mineral Area (Mo.) when they take on the Cardinals on Wednesday night.
